last night of heart and limbs had its first official screening at brads theatre. it was great to see most everyone again. it was nice to have that feeling again of 'hey i feel like i'm on set'. julia cut together a little 5 minute behind the scenes video, and it was fun to watch. i didn't know what kind of footage was taken so it was nice to see everyone working/having fun.
you'll notice the website has gone under a little change. it has more color! everything is assigned a color. cody, byron, julia all have colors. our films also will have colors and this will be a standard or ours for dvd printing.
august 19 2010last night was the cold read at the celluloid social club for the hot shots script competition. byron fudge's script falling in love was a hit! for those of you who don't know what goes on, basically they give the script to some actors and the actors will go up to the state and read it. the script got the most laughs and had people coming to our table to say 'good job' and so on. this could be the next forest lawn film project so everyone, if you get a chance, congratulate byron for his tremendous work on this script sofar.
of heart and limbs is having a cast and crew screening tonight. it should be nice to see everyone again, although we did run into actor dave lewis at the cold read last night. it was good to be back around film people. dvd is coming along nicely, and will be available in september for $7 (if you require shipping) and $5 for a face to face transaction.
august 14 2010congratulations to forest lawn film member byron fudge for placing in the top 5 of a script competition. this makes him one step closer to the grand prize of $20,000 in production money, so wish byron luck onto the next round.
of heart and limbs is having a cast and crew screening on the 19th of this month, and will soon be available on dvd

i guess now that we've had two production meetings you can say that we are in production on 'of heart and limbs'. you can view the production blog if you'd like. anytime something happens, you can find it there, so keep checking! i've kept up the 'monday' production blog for some time. it's moved to the secret/archive page.
april 11 2010you know, last year was an up and down year for us at forest lawn. we were excited about all the opportunities we were creating for ourselves. on the one hand we assembled a crew together and was able to shoot our first film. sadly it never was released. then shortly after 'near the end' i started work on my first ever film as a director. during the location scouting of the process i was shut down by the vancouver school board. major wrench in the gears this is certain. that never kept me down though. i persued a commercial which ultimatley is still on hold. but that was all in 2009. this is 2010 and there are new opportunities on the horizon for us at forest lawn.
i will go ahead and announce that in june or july, i will be producing/directing a short film titled 'of heart and limbs'. this script was written by a frequent collaborator of mine, julia niendorf. she is an incredibally talented writer and i'm excited to get this story from paper to screen. keep your fingers crossed that we don't get shut down!
byron plans to add to his directing resume and add a couple more shorts to his list.
also this year our list of talent will increase by 33% as we are adding someone new to the brotherhood. julia niendorf who has worked with byron and myself will be joining forest lawn, and we are very honored for that. this year julia is shooting for the stars and would like to shoot the many skits that she has been hiding in her computer for years
we would like to go ahead and congradulate our friends over at 'dead oak pictures' for their success and upcoming project 'the quarry'.
